Jackie Diann Nelson, 78, was born January 7, 1945 to Farell H. (Jim) McGuire and Juanita F. Vaughan in Clearlake Texas, passed away October 14, 2023, at home (after a short illness). Jackie is survived by her husband of 60 years, Dennis E. Nelson of Garland; son, Jeff Nelson and wife Shelley of Mineola, granddaughter; Crystal Nelson of Josephine, two great grandchildren, sister; Linda Engleman and husband Gary of Garland, nephew, Toby Lewis and wife Renae of Alba, two great nephews, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; Jim and Juanita, daughter; Kimberly Hammonds and grandson; Travis Houston.

The family wishes many thanks to Harbor Hospice for their care and compassion in caring for Jackie.

Visitation will be on Tuesday at Williams Funeral Directors from 5 to 7:00 PM October 17, 2023. A funeral service will be held the next day, Wednesday at Williams Memorial Chapel at 10:00 AM, with a graveside service following at Nevada Cemetery in Nevada Texas. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society and American Diabetes Association.
