In loving Memory of Isidora "Dora" Salas Alvarado

April 4, 1929 - November 28, 2024

Our beautiful mother, Isidora Salas Alvarado, was peacefully called to God's loving arms at the age of 95 in the early hours of November 28,2024 at her home, in Garland, Texas surrounded by her loved ones.

Isidora was born just outside of San Marcos, Texas to her loving parents Regino and Domatilla Salas, and was one of six children.

Isidora married Ricardo Alvarado on October 21,1945, in San Marcos, Texas and together they welcomed thirteen beautiful children and were blessed to raise their eight surviving children in Dallas, in a quaint home on Laneyvale. They were married for 63 years before he passed away in 2008 with her by his side.

She found joy in creating a home filled with love, unwavering faith, warmth and delicious food. She spent a majority of her time caring and creating priceless memories with her children and grandchildren, creating strong and long-lasting friendships with neighbors and members of her church, gardening, and attending mass. She was a devoted catholic who found strength and solace through prayer.

Isidora is reunited in heaven with her Father, Regino Salas, Mother, Domatilla Lozano Salas, Siblings; sisters Guadelupe Garza and Illadia Solano & brothers Juan Solano and Jacinto Solano, her beloved husband Ricardo, Children; Ricardo, Luis, Carlos, Ruben and Juanita, Grandson; Michael Towle, and loved ones Cindy Alvarado, Gary Towle, and Ralph Villarreal.

Her legacy will live on through her surviving family, brother Lupe Salas, her seven loving children Guadalupe Alvarado, Ricardo Alvarado Jr., Teresa Villarreal, Cruz Alvarado and wife Mary, Rosario Towle, Jesus Alvarado and wife Judy, Martina Alvarado Davies and husband Phillip, her 17 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild and many much-loved nephew and nieces.

Mom, your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. Rest now in the loving arms of our Lord.
