Herschel Leon Waldrip was born on December 19th,1922, and passed away on January 12th, 2024. He is preceded in death by his wife, Tommie Waldrip, his mother, Viola Camille Abner, and his father, Dennis Waldrip. He is survived by his sister, Evelyn House, her daughter, Kathy; his nieces, Monica Collins, Cynthia Rose, Victoria Rose, and Samantha Rose; and his nephews, Archie David and Michael Collins.

He was a WWII veteran and spoke fondly of how he liked to explore the world and all the places he was able to visit. He loved being able to take his family on vacations and always made sure he had time to watch his westerns.

He was a kind man with a gentle heart. He made sure that his family never went without, offered his help when he could, a kind ear when he couldn't, and always had a joke just in case someone needed a laugh. He was beloved by many and will be dearly missed.

Visitation and services will be held at Williams Funeral Home.
