Dad's Obituary
Our hearts ache in announcing the passing of Gustavo Mendiola, an adoring husband and loving father. Who passed unexpectedly and taken too soon.
Born October 28, 1967 in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. Moved to Garland, TX in 1981 and graduated from Garland High School.
Gustavo will always be remembered as a hard worker and family man. He persevered in all his dreams and accomplishments. Although he still had many more dreams to fulfill.
He loved spending time with family and friends, attended and cared for everyone who he met.
Gustavo opened Las Vegas Auto Repair in April of 1998 and was the proud owner and was still running it 'til his last day; he will also be remembered by his vast clientele.
He had a passion for cars and Harley Davidson motorcycles and enjoyed collecting them. He also enjoyed the outdoors and camping with family and friends; going to the Lake on Sundays and taking vacations to Disney World among other things.
Gustavo is preceded in death by his father, Eustolio Mendiola, and his mother Pilar Morales-Mendiola. He is survived by his wife, Iris Alvarado, his 6 children and 9 grandchildren; as well as his 3 brothers and sister.
He met his wife Iris in 1996 and and they instantly fell for each other. He was the man of her dreams. They married on February 14th. 2009 and had just celebrated 14 years of marriage and 27 years together.
In loving memory of our dad,
Gustavo Mendiola.
