Gretchen Anne House, age 61 of Dallas, Texas, was born June 19, 1962 in Newport, Rhode Island to Mary Kay Hamarstrom Henley and Miller Patrick Henley; and passed away December 12, 2023 in Dallas, Texas. She was employed in Food Service, but she truly loved all things "Girly" and "Beauty", including selling cosmetics. She was most at home in Florida, or anywhere that she could be surrounded by flamingos, the beach, and flowers. She was an avid fan and collector of Hello Kitty items, adored dance and her years as a Liberty Doll, and enjoyed a trip to the Dallas Arboretum to look at all the beautiful gardens. Gretchen always saw the good in every person she met, and was an incredibly grateful woman who never failed to write a thank you card to anyone who deserved it.
She is survived by her mother, Mary Kay Henley of Dallas, Texas; daughter, Jennifer of Grapevine, Texas; son, Josh and wife, Megan of Kentwood, Michigan; grandsons, Jack of Kentwood, Michigan; Grey of Grapevine, Texas; brother, Geoff Henley (Michelle) of Highland Park, Texas, Hudson Henley (Kim) of Dallas, Texas, Miller Henley of Dallas, Texas; nephew, Blaine Henley of Dallas, Texas, Edward Henley of Highland Park, Texas; niece, Elizabeth Henley of Highland Park, Texas; aunts, Patricia Williams of Kansas City, Missouri, and Candace Campbell and husband, Clifford of Colleyville, Texas. She is preceded in death by her father, Pat Henley.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30AM Tuesday, December 19, 2023 in Garland Memorial Park in Garland, Texas.
