Gary Wayne Nightingale of Mesquite, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. He was born on October 18, 1939, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Bernhardt and Ruby Fleming Nightingale.

A true outdoorsman, Gary loved staying active. He took pride in his garden, growing the best tomatoes to share with others, and was meticulous about caring for his lawn. He enjoyed watching family play sports, fishing, and relaxing at the beach.
Gary was the life of the party, always making sure everyone felt included. He took tremendous pride in watching his family grow and thrive. He was organized to the core, never one to leave a task unfinished. He was an incredibly strong, hardworking, and fun-loving man. His life revolved around his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his beloved dog, Kelly.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the dedicated team of doctors who cared for Gary over the past 20 years. He is now healed in eternity. He will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know and love him.
