Floyd Garth Krodell, 93, of Rockwall Texas passed overnight on June 28th, 2025, 3 months & 6 days following his beloved wife of 69 years Dolly Mae Krodell. He was a true family patriarch, husband, father, grandfather, great & great-great grandfather, uncle, and friend. Floyd was born in Liberty Grove, TX November 13th, 1931 to Elmer (E.J.) Krodel and Mittie Wells Krodel.

Floyd was predeceased by his parents Elmer (E.J.) and Mittie Wells Krodel, Brothers Lewis Krodell & James Krodel, Sister Mary Krodel Martin, Wife Dolly Mae Krodell, Son Kenneth Dolan Krodell, Son Mark Rutherford and Nephews Michael Krodell, Jimmy Krodel, Jerry Martin, John Krodel.

He is survived by his grandson Sean Krodell (wife, Vanessa, their children Justin (wife, Lucy, and children Presley and Sunny), Jackson (wife, Mackenzie, and child Weston) , Kolten, and Kaden; his dear daughter's-in-law, Dianna Krodell (and son, Brandon), and Kathy Bailey and husband Roy; his granddaugther, Kate Rutherford; and niece's Beverly Snow, Barbara Trout, nephews Dennis Alsup, Richard Walker, David Walker, Toby Walker, and other close cousins & relatives.

He was known as "Pap" to most, or "The Ol Man" by Dolan, Sean, & long time family friends, as well as "Dad", and "Uncle Floyd" to so many more.

After his childhood in Liberty Grove and Dallas, TX he spent most of his life in Garland, Rowlett, back to Garland, and finally in Rockwall, TX. Floyd was highly respected throughout the commercial construction industry being a life-long General Contractor & Construction Manager building projects across the United States as well as in the local car racing arena for many years being a multiple car owner and builder of & partner of racetrack ownership operations & concessions.  Floyd spent a lifetime dedicated to providing for and teaching his family through integrity and dedication to the family business which later evolved to long term professional and personal relationships with others. He looked forward to meeting his Lord & Savior and reuniting with "Mama"(Dolly) whom he gave so much care and nurturing in her final days. His stern, often grumpy personality, witty sense of humor, wisdom, and generosity will be deeply missed by all that had the blessing of knowing him.

A visitation will be held at Williams Funeral Home in Garland, TX on Monday, July 7th, 2025 at 9:30 a.m., Memorial Service will follow starting at 10:30 a.m., with a funeral procession to the graveside service at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas at approx 12:00 Noon.
