Ewell Forrest Mahaney, Jr., born on July 7, 1948, passed away on December 26, 2025. He was preceded in death by his daughter, April Williamson; his parents, Ewell Forrest Mahaney, Sr. and Alma Mahaney (Nelson); and his brothers, Charles Eugene Morret and Gary L Mahaney.

Ewell was a passionate photographer and enjoyed camping every year. He was a member of the CB Club, part of the 'Hole in the wall gang', and was actively involved with the Combat Vets Organization, where he participated in honor guard rides to Gainesville for Medal of Honor awards and toy runs. Ewell had a deep appreciation for Vietnamese culture, participating in lion dancer awards, dinners, and weddings. In 2006, he was honored to be adopted into the Cheyenne tribe.
