Evelyn Powell Snow, aged 99, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2024, in Garland, Texas. Born on January 13, 1925, Evelyn was a beacon of strength and compassion, cherished by all who knew her.

A proud graduate of Campbell High School, Evelyn began her career at Haggar Pant Factory before dedicating 35 years to Varo Electronics, a military contractor. Her role in building prototypes was crucial, showcasing her meticulous attention to detail and her unwavering work ethic. Even after retirement, Evelyn's influence in the industry remained evident through the enduring quality of her work. Evelyn was a devout member of Lavon Drive Baptist Church, where she formed many cherished relationships and found great solace in her faith. Her hobbies included gardening and sewing, activities through which she expressed her creativity and nurtured beauty in her community.

Evelyn's life was marked by her unwavering dedication to her family and her readiness to lend a helping hand. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Charlotte Powell; granddaughters Leah Gore and Jana Powell; great-granddaughter and spouse Peyton and Taelor Gore; and great-great-grandson Liam Ferrell. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Bessie Hopkins Yancey; siblings Virginia Sharp, Catherine Merritt, Wilbert, Roy, and Thomas Yancey; and her husbands, Maple T. (Boots) Powell, Sr. and Millard Snow.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Evelyn's memory can be made to Alzheimer's Disease Research or the Garland Texas Animal Shelter, causes she held dear. Evelyn's legacy of kindness, dedication, and love for her family will forever be remembered.
