Evelyn Miles Luck, 94 years old, of Garland, TX, passed away on December 18, 2023.

Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at 10:30 A.M. at the Williams Memorial Chapel at 1600 South Garland Road, Garland TX.  A short internment service will follow at 1:15pm at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas TX.

Evelyn was born on February 23, 1929 to Emma and Sam Miles in Pleasant Hill, Louisiana. She worked and attended college in DeRidder, LA. She married Robert Luck on November 6, 1954 and then traveled the world as an Army wife and mother moving each year to a new duty station.

She is survived by one son, Bob Luck (Kathy) of Rowlett, TX and two daughters, Sharon Lyerly (Rick) of San Antonio, TX and Laura Maunsell (Todd) of Ft Worth, TX; seven grandchildren Clint Marrero of Rowlett, TX; Bobby Gordon of Lexington, KY; Thomas Gordon (Stephanie) of Atlanta, GA, Jennifer McGaughey (Chip) of Lexington, KY, Samantha Gonzaba of San Antonio, TX, Tanner Maunsell (Elissa) of Roanoke, TX, and Steven Lyerly of New Braunfels, TX; and four great grandchildren, Allie, Myles, TJ and Lily. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Luck, her daughter, Linda Luck Milligan of Lexington, Ky, her parents Emma and Sam Miles of Pleasant Hill, LA, and her two sisters, Ruth Bozeman of Westlake, LA, and Gloria Temple of DeRidder, LA.
