Eugene Franklin Conn, age 73 of Garland, Texas; was born November 1, 1949 in Vernon, Texas to O.C. and Ivalene English Conn; and passed away April 07, 2023 in Richardson, Texas. He was the owner of Pedco Systems, Inc in Garland for 42 years, and a proud U.S. Navy Veteran. He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Smith of Garland, Texas; daughter, Kristi Huckabee and husband, William of Hayward, Wisconsin; son, Jeff Conn of Sachse, Texas; stepson, Scott Smith and wife, Katherine of Frisco, Texas; stepdaughter, Amanda Paxton and husband, Chris of Louisville, Kentucky; granddaughters, Brianna Templer and husband, Austin, Victoria Huckabee of Virginia, Emaleigh Huckabee of Virginia, Kalli Huckabee of Wisconsin, Lindsey Smith of League City, Texas, Lauren Smith of League City, Texas, Paige Paxton of Louisville, Kentucky, Meagan Paxton of Louisville, Kentucky, Addyson Smith of Frisco, Texas; grandson, Nathan Paxton of Louisville, Kentucky; great-grandson, Arthur Templer; and sister, Barbara Welch of Kountze, Texas. Funeral Services will be held in Eugene's honor at 10:30 AM Friday, April 14 in Williams Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Kollman of Messiah Lutheran Church officiating. The family will accept visitors from 5:00-7:00PM Thursday evening, April 13th, at the funeral home.
