Ernest Wade
Noble
Feb 21, 1964 — Mar 2, 2026
Greenville
Ernest Wade Noble, 62, passed away on March 2, 2026, in Plano, Texas. He was born on February 21, 1964, in Hobbs, New Mexico, to Benny and Othella Noble.
Wade graduated from Stinnett High School in 1983. Later, he moved to the Dallas–Fort Worth area, where he built his life and family. He was a devoted father who adored his two children, Erica and Chandler.
Growing up with three sisters helped shape Wade into an exceptional "girl dad" for the first eleven years of Erica's life before welcoming his son, Chandler. He proudly shared his love of sports with both of his children. Wade loved all types of sports, especially football and baseball, and he took great pride in coaching kids in both. He found joy in teaching, encouraging, and spending time with young athletes.
Wade also loved the outdoors. Some of the most cherished memories with his children were made fishing and camping, where they enjoyed time together and the simple pleasures of nature. In his later years, he looked forward to sharing those same traditions with his grandchildren, especially the apple of his eye, his grandson Deacon James Hicks.
Wade will be remembered as someone who was always willing to listen. Though he could be stubborn at times, he was a patient and gentle man who deeply loved his family.
He is survived by his daughter, Erica Brooke Hicks and her husband, Josh Hicks; his son, Chandler Wade Noble; and his grandchildren, Rebecca Hicks, Isabel Hicks, and Deacon Hicks. He is also survived by his parents, Benny and Othella Noble; his sisters, Lisa Williams and her husband Kelly Williams, LaJohnna Overby and her husband Gary Overby, and Denise Noble; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Wade's love for his family, his passion for sports, and the memories he created with those closest to him will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
