Elma Ovalle, aged 78, passed away in Plano, Texas. Born in Cotulla, Texas, she moved to San Antonio in the 1950s and was later in Garland, Texas to be closer to her son.

She was raised in the Westside of San Antonio, Elma attended Fox Tech High School. She dedicated 40 years of her career to the Department of Defense in accounting before retiring. Elma also served as the VFW president for a few years.

She was the beloved wife of the late George T. Ovalle, Sr, a professional vocalist and local San Antonio legend. Elma is survived by her sons, Andrew Torres, Sylvia Torres; George Ovalle, Jaqueline Barron; George Jr & Scarlett Ovalle. She was cherished by her family and will be deeply missed.
