Elda "Butch" Faye Jones passed away March 15, 2023, at the age of 93. She was born on June 7, 1929, to Jesse Gleeson and Ruby Myrtle Stanford Gleeson. Butch married her high school sweetheart, Henry "Buddy" Calvin Jones, on February 6, 1948, and they were together until Buddy passed away in 2008. They had three children: Mike Jones, Pat Jones, Jeanie Jones; four grandchildren: Tim Jones, Russell "Rusty" Jones, Justin Wainner, Cody Wainner; and one great granddaughter: Hazel Wainner.
Butch (also known as Mickey to some people who knew her when she was young) was sweet, smart, funny, kind, thoughtful, and always welcoming. She had a beautiful smile and an infectious laugh. When she was younger, she loved to sing and dance. She loved visiting with anyone and everyone. She was blessed with many wonderful friends, neighbors, and acquaintances and she cherished them. She loved the holidays and always loved to entertain and give gifts. She and Buddy loved to travel and drove all over the United States and Canada in their motorhome. She was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and loved to do things with the church throughout her many years. Her most recent hobby was playing bingo with her visitors and the other residents at her nursing home. She will be greatly missed by many.
Butch was predeceased by Buddy Jones (husband), Jeanie Jones (daughter), Rusty Jones (grandson), Frank Owens, Jr. (half-brother), Mary Joyce Owens Veach (niece), Bennie Frank Owens (nephew), Arkie Owens (half-sister), Dorathy Gleeson (half-sister), Mary Gleeson Sweeten (half-sister).
