Edward Ray Kirby was born on July 21, 1932 in Chico, Texas. He passed away on July 12, 2024 at the age of 91.

Eddie graduated from Novice High School in 1950. He served in the United States Air Force, then as a reservist, and was honorably discharged in May of 1960. He retired as a manager for Associated Lumber and Truss. After his retirement, he enjoyed woodworking, crafting, and being Papa to his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father Dexter Kirby, mother Hazel Kirby, wife Marie Kirby, brother James Kirby, sister Patrica Parton, sister Dorothy Vineyard, and great granddaughter Bailee Cook. He is survived by daughter Linda Nall and husband Donald, granddaughter Tara Springfield and husband Paul, granddaughter Ladona Cook and husband Jason, and four great grandchildren, Mason, Adam, Colten, and London, sister Eola Lewis, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Officiating the service is Reverend David Mills. Pallbearers will be Donald Nall, Paul Springfield, Jason Cook, Mason Springfield, Adam Springfield, and Colten Cook. Presenting remembrance rose for the great grandchildren, London Cook.

Visitation will be held at 9:30 am on Friday, July 26th at Williams Funeral Home. Memorial service will follow at 10:30 am at the Williams Memorial Chapel. Graveside service for immediate family will be held at Grove Hill Memorial Park immediately following the service.
