Earl Wayne Stubbs, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend passed away on December 2, 2022 at the age of 88. He was born on August 10, 1934 in Flat Creek, Texas to Gertrude Hampton Stubbs and Marvin Lester Stubbs. He grew up in Naples, Texas and attended school there. He received his undergraduate degree from East Texas State Teachers College in 1957 and his master's degree from North Texas State University in 1964. He was a proud member of the Tejas Social Club while attending ET and formed life-long friendships with his club brothers. He met his wife, Nancy, in Farmersville, Texas and they were married for 67 years. Together they had two sons, Michael and Mark.
He taught school prior to joining the pharmaceutical industry. He was a regional training manager in that field for several years. After retirement, Earl and Nancy enjoyed many years of traveling throughout the country and Europe.
Earl loved all sports and spending time with his sons, playing golf, fishing, football, tennis and anything else they could think of. Earl also enjoyed writing, painting and, most of all, taking naps with his precious dog, Skippy.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Stubbs; sons, Michael & Cindy Stubbs and Mark & Carolyn Stubbs. Grandchildren: Travis Stubbs, Jordan & Anna Stubbs, Jennifer Stubbs, Kayla & Daniel Ratcliff, and Aaron Stubbs. He also was blessed with three great grandchildren: Brooklyn & Charlotte Ratcliff and Elizabeth Stubbs. Nieces: Karen Jacobs, Kathy Krotzer, Carol Shirley, and Vicky Van Zandt. Nephews: Gary Cotton, Gary Jacobs, and Les Jacobs.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Lynn Cotton and Dorothy Terrell .
