Dr. Maroba Folstadt Zoeller entered eternal rest with her Lord and Savior on August 21, 2026.

   A devout Christian and longtime member of the Methodist faith, she found great joy and comfort in fellowship with her church family. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Allen, Texas, and previously attended Axe Memorial United Methodist Church in Garland, where her parents were founding members.

  Maroba was a constant learner and passionate educator. Whether studying the Bible, pursuing her collegiate and postgraduate degrees with honors, or continuing her professional development, she embraced learning throughout her life. She began her teaching career in Garland Independent School District and continued her career with Allen Independent School District. Her accomplishments in Allen ISD culminated in her service as an Assistant Superintendent, where her gracious leadership and experience proved invaluable to faculty and staff. She was particularly passionate about curriculum and instruction and was instrumental in bringing the International Baccalaureate program to Allen ISD. Her career in education also brought lifelong friendships through East Texas A&M University and Dallas Baptist University, where she served as a professor and graduate advisor.

  Maroba was deeply committed to her community and loved encouraging and connecting with others. She generously served in leadership and volunteer roles with the Allen Retired Educators Association, Silver Eagles, All Community Outreach, the Allen Public Library Board, and the Allen Noon Lions Club. Maroba was a devoted wife, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend to many and enjoyed entertaining these wonderful people in her home and at West Lakes in East Texas. 

  She was predeceased by her brother, parents, and her husband of 42 years, Randy Zoeller. She is survived by her dear nephew, Bart Folstadt, and beloved cousins, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, coworkers, and friends.

  The family will receive guests for visitation at Williams Funeral Directors in Garland on Friday, August 28, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. A graveside service will be held Saturday morning at Mills Cemetery in Garland. The Celebration of Life honoring Dr. Maroba Zoeller will take place Saturday, August 29, at 1 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Allen, Texas. Those wishing to make donations in honor of Maroba may contribute to First United Methodist Church of Allen.
