Dorothy was born in Minneola, Texas on December 26th, 1938, to Charline and Herman Sloan. She was preceded in death by her Mother, Father and three brothers.  She leaves behind her, her husband James, her four daughters Kim, Debi, Lydia and Cindy, six grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren, in addition to James' family that she became part of. She will be greatly missed, but will live forever in the hearts of her family and friends.

Her Celebration of Life will be held Friday, December 8th, 10:30am, at the Williams Funeral Home located at 1600 S. Garland Ave., Garland, TX.
