Doris Jean Morris was born to the late Arthur and Ethel Morris on February 19, 1960, in Vernon, Texas. She passed away on February 12, 2023, in Rowlett Texas. She was known to her family and friends as Jean.

She attended Vernon public schools. She later moved to Houston and graduated from James Madison High School.  Jean returned to Vernon and attended Vernon Regional Jr. College where she received her associates degree in 1987.  She worked as a Medical Technician and Personal Care Giver for many years. In 1992 she and her children made their home in Dallas, Texas.

Jean had a beautiful spirit. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.  Granny Jean would spoil them as any granny would. She was also a favorite of her many nieces and nephews and allowed them all to be free spirits. She was very protective of them all and they knew they were loved.

Jean was a very giving person with a caring nature and caregiver to her parents in their later days. She seemed to draw people to her.  When you would see her, she'd always be smiling or laughing. Jean was a true believer in God.  She was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Royse City, Texas. She was a faithful member and used her gift of singing in the church choir.

She leaves to cherish precious memories to her children: Tawon, Tawanna, Courtney & Dominica. Six grandchildren Latayvia, Jaylen, Kaleah, Ka'Lyissa, Kaiya & Jordyn.

She will be missed by us all.
