In Loving Memory of
Dorilyn Derrer
Our beloved Dorilyn was born in Bayamón, Puerto Rico the morning of August 8, 1985 to proud parents Ramon de Jesus and Janet Mejia. Raised by her adoptive mother Leticia Acosta in Fajardo, PR along with her older sister Cynthia De Jesus.
Dorilyn and Christopher met on Isla Verde, Puerto Rico and soon after started their own family. She embraced the fun chaos that surrounded her becoming an avid soccer mom, band mom, football and baseball mom. She was very involved with her children and they were her priceless treasures.
Dorilyn was known for her pure loving nature, generous personality, incredible energy and contagious laughter.
Dori and her sister Cynthia were inseparable, they laughed and bantered with each other as sisters do. Dori loved being "Titi" to Brandon and Bella, and many others she adopted as nieces and nephews.
Dorilyn lived life to the fullest, spent her free time with family and friends. She was the life of the party, always a wonderful cheerful hostess.
Dorilyn is survived by the love of her life, Chris Derrer: her children Kimberly, Robert, and Crystal; her father Ramon de Jesus; mother Janet Mejia and her husband Evin Mejia; sister Cynthia her husband Aurelio Muniz; nephew Brandon and niece Bella; sister Janelyn, brothers Isaias and David; mother -in- law Anita Derrer, brother-in-law Tony Derrer and his family; the Muniz and Acosta family and many wonderful friends.
Dorilyn was preceded by death in by her adoptive mother Leticia Acosta who lost her battle to breast cancer in October 14, 2014.
Dori was battling breast cancer for the past year. However, it pleased the Lord to bring her home on Saturday, October 22, 2022.
Dorilyn is very loved and will be terribly busy missed by her family and friends. She will remain forever in our hearts and our prayers. We thank the Lord for the beautiful woman she was and the joy of knowing her.
