In Loving Memory of Lea Diane Wilson,  April 19, 1944 – May 14, 2026

Diane was fierce, elegant, and unforgettable; a woman whose presence carried both fire and grace. She moved through life with a quiet authority, the kind that never needed to announce itself to be felt. There was strength in the way she stood, dignity in the way she carried herself, and a steady, unwavering force in the way she loved her family. She was the matriarch of this family in every sense of the word. The backbone, the voice, the strength that held generations together. Diane did not just belong to this family, she shaped it. Her presence could fill a room, and her love, in all its forms, touched every person lucky enough to know her.

Diane was born in Houston, Texas. As a child, when all of her friends were riding their horses, Diane would ride her beloved Brahma bull, Frosty. She sat on his hump and steered him by the horns. As a teenager she loved to go to Galveston and enjoyed dancing. At the age of 19 with her 1 year old daughter, she packed up and moved to Dallas. She got a job at Affiliated Foods in the accounting department. It started her on a career path that she would walk the rest of her life. She ran the accounting department at several companies, including Riberglass and most recently C2 Flooring which she retired from in 2025. She supported countless organizations over the years, especially ones that helped children and mothers starting over. She would organize a food drive at a moment's notice when the food pantry was running low. Helping others and giving back gave her so much joy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee Roy Alexander and Lillie Armeal Gressett Alexander, as well as her beloved son-in-law, Mark Trace. She leaves behind her husband, Donald Joe Wilson; her daughter, Natalie Trace; and her son, Ronnie Wilson. She was a proud grandmother to Amy Wilson and her spouse, Jeremy Fain; Kyle Wilson, who called her "Mimi"; and Abby Rothermel and her spouse, Johnny Rothermel, who called her "Mother." She also leaves behind her treasured great-grandchildren Kash, Gemma, Krew, Lily, and Adeline, who will grow up carrying pieces of her strength and spirit with them always.

In true Diane fashion, a Celebration of Life will be held on May 30, 2026, at her home to honor her fabulous life. In lieu of flowers, please donate to The Bridge Homeless Recovery Center. Bridgehrc.org Her absence leaves a silence that feels impossible to fill because Diane was never small, never quiet, and never forgettable. She leaves behind a family forever shaped by her fire, her resilience, and the fierce love that defined her life. She will be missed beyond words and remembered always.
