Dennis Lynn Cooper, Sr
Born:  December 23, 1956
Passed Away:  April 27, 2024

Born in Wharton, Texas.  His family moved to Garland, Texas in 1966.  He graduated from North Garland High School in 1976.  He went to work at Tom Thumb in 1975.  Married his wife Nancy in 1980.  Son Dennis, Jr was born in 1981.

Dennis, Sr was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Donna Cooper, his in-laws Ben and Mildred Stephens, his infant sister Rebecca, his infant daughter Melissa.  Dennis, Sr is survived by his wife Nancy, sons Dennis, Jr and Jeff, brother Roy Dan (Jean Ann), sister Kimberly (Steve), sister-in-laws Ginger and Janet.  Many nieces and nephews and cousins.

Dennis, Sr enjoyed life to the fullest including:  bowling, tennis, racquetball, yardwork, etc, etc, etc.  He especially enjoyed entertaining family and friends with his hilarious stories.  He also enjoyed playing trivia with everyone.  He had an excellent memory on subjects such as:  sports, music, politics, religion, etc, etc, etc.  Long time member of Calvary Baptist Church in Garland, which is now a part of Lakepoint Church.

Dennis, Sr was such a great guy.  We all loved Dennis, Sr.  He was our rock, we all relied on him for so many things.  We will all miss Dennis, Sr deeply.

Rest in peace Dennis, Sr, we love you.  Enjoy life in heaven as much as you enjoyed life here on earth.
