Debrah Ann
Rochon
Jul 6, 1951 — May 9, 2025
Rowlett
Debrah Ann (Trumbo) Rochon was born July 6, 1951, in Des Moines, Iowa, to the parentage of Ralph E. Trumbo and Emma B. (Mason)Trumbo. She was a happy girl and had a unique gift of empathy even as a child.
Affectionately known as Debbie, she received her education in the Des Moines Public School District and graduated from East High School in 1969. She later studied at Drake University and earned her associate's degree, while working at North High School in the counselor's office.
After relocating to Dallas, Texas in 1999, her desire for helping people led her to work for the Dallas County Restitution Center until It's closure in 2004. Her next venture was to drive a school bus where she discovered her passion for public transportation and later became a driver for DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) where she served the public for many years. Upon retirement on June 27, 2015, she was presented with a Transportation Department Efficiency Award that she was immensely proud of. After her retirement, Debbie worked part-time supporting the public as a crossing guard for the Richardson Public School District.
Debbie's life was always centered around family. She loved spending time at home with her family and friends, whether it was talking, listening to music, dancing, watching a movie, or just having fun. She also enjoyed fishing from the bank but refused to get into a boat.
Debbie had a loving and giving heart and never met a stranger. She interacted with people she met, never judging anyone but always offering help and encouragement. She was outspoken at times, but that was just another trait that defined her colorful personality and kept everyone amused. To know her was to love her.
Our beloved Debrah Ann Rochon departed this life on Friday, May 9, 2025, at the age of 73, surrounded by loved ones.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents, two brothers, a nephew and a grandson.
Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Craig Trumbo of Los Angeles, CA, Gregory Rochon, Jr. of Dallas, TX., a sister, Donna Gross of Independence, Mo., 4 brothers Ricardo Trumbo(Venda) of Sachse, TX., Russell Trumbo of Des Moines, IA.; Randy Trumbo of Silvis, IL.; Robert Trumbo(Susan) of Des Moines, IA., A half-brother, Ralph Trumbo, Jr.(Jackie) of Des Moines, IA., A half-sister, Quisha Trumbo of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Two Grandchildren; Corde' Rochon and Daejah Rochon of Newton, TX. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
John 14:1-3 Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many mansions; If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
