David Michael Grago, Sr., 74, of Claremore, Oklahoma passed away on July 30, 2026, with his devoted wife, Sandy Grago, by his side.

He was born September 9 1951, in Rome, NewYork.

A proud United States Air Force veteran, David lived a life of honor, service, and resilience. David was a Great Grand Master (GGM) of Kung Fu and a lifelong martial artist. He achieved mastery in multiple disciplines, including Ch’uang Chuan Pai Wing Chun Kuen, with a specialization in Wing Chun Kuen. As a teacher and mentor, he instilled the values of respect, humility, perseverance, and inner strength in generations of students. He founded the International Chinese Boxing Association (ICBA), which has endured for over 50 years, and Wing Pai International, both of which continue to preserve and promote traditional Chinese martial arts worldwide.

Following a cancer diagnosis 13 years prior, he defied expectations and embraced each additional year with courage and determination, creating lasting memories with his family.

David is preceded in death by his father Angelo M. Grago and mother Rosemarie E Grande.  He is survived by his wife, Sandy Grago and his children: Jennifer Grago, Jami Grago, David Jr. Grago, Tony Grago (Taylor), Julia Bowen (David), Shawn Davis (Kelli), two sisters Jeri Best (Chris) and Sandra Semmelhack (Rich), 14 grandkids, and 4 great granddaughters who will carry forward his legacy of strength, discipline, and love.

His life and influence will be remembered with deep respect and gratitude by his family, students, and all who knew him.
