David Lee Eaves, 70, of Rockwall, TX went to be with his Savior and was finally free on July 4, 2025.

David was born on May 24, 1955 in Phoenix, Arizona to Donald Edward and Rose Marie Eaves (Wayman). He graduated from Carl Hayden High School in 1974 and went on to work at Insurance Services Office (ISO). During this time, he completed an associate's degree in Wastewater Management at Gateway Community College. He worked for ISO for over 47 years evaluating fire districts for the State of Arizona (38 years) and in the last few years, the state of Texas, while also taking on leadership roles and training new inspectors, retiring in 2024.

He married Cheryl Lynn Clark on June 11, 1988 and together, they raised their children with Christ at the center of their home. David led his family in faith through example; he was active in his church and sang in the church choir. He was involved in a multitude of ministries over his adult life, including refugee ministries, children's ministries and music. In recent years, he loved spending quality time with his Sunday school class and having breakfast with the guys every Wednesday morning

David loved all movies; he was typically watching the Harry Potter series or John Wayne on repeat. He never met a stranger and always made people feel like they were friends. He was known for his kind heart, silly jokes, his love of America, BBQ, and the second amendment, and most importantly - his devotion to his faith.

David is survived by his beloved wife, Sheri and their two children, Taylor Allen Eaves and Karalyn Louise Eubank (Jonathan). He had one grandchild, Luke Edward Eubank.

One of eight siblings, he is also survived by Dennis Eaves (Kay), Patricia Hall (John), Daniel Eaves, Penny Hejtmanek (Rich), Dewey Eaves (Dottie), Peggy Miller (Tim) and Douglas Eaves (Dianna), as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by Donald Edward Eaves, Rose Marie Eaves and Thomas Allen Clark.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 15, 2025 at First Baptist Church Rockwall, Jones Chapel beginning at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to World Missions, First Baptist Church Rockwall.
