Obituary

Cindy Fails was born on January 4, 1960, in Dallas, Texas to Grady and Nova Spangler, and passed away in her home on February 10, 2025.

Cindy has three brothers, Steve, Tim, and Jeff Spangler.

Cindy was the devoted wife of Mark Fails, with whom she shared 42 wonderful years. Their love story began in 1972 at Jackson Middle School, where, at just 13 years old, Mark first saw Cindy through the gym divider. Let Mark tell it, from that very moment-watching her in her blue eye shadow- he just knew he was going to marry her, and he did. Their love was one for the ages, built on friendship, devotion, and an unbreakable bond.

As a mother, Cindy was a guiding light to her three children, Matthew, Melissa, and Daniel. She poured her heart into raising them with kindness and wisdom. But perhaps her greatest joy was being "Nana" to her beloved grandchildren-Colton, Elizabeth, Dani, Easton, Alex, Madison, Mason, and Mahayla.

A caretaker by nature, Cindy dedicated her life to nurturing those around her. She had a heart of gold and selfless spirit, always putting the needs of others above her own. Whether it was family or friends, she made everyone feel loved and valued.

Cindy's favorite pastime was shopping, and her love language was gift giving. She was very thoughtful and was often gifting things to those she loved, sometimes for no reason or occasion at all.

Cindy spent many years as a Mary Kay consultant, where she found her love of makeup and made many friends. Cindy always had a great sense of style, and you'd never catch her leaving the house without being fully put together in stylish outfit, jewelry, hair and makeup done.

Cindy is a Christian and was baptized in the 80's. We know she is finally whole and home with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Cindy's legacy of love, generosity, and selflessness will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Mark Fails; son and daughter in law, Matthew and Amanda Fails; daughter and son in law, Melissa and Justin Cornelius; son and daughter in law, Daniel and Lauren Fails. Grandchildren, Colton, Elizabeth, Dani, Easton, and Alex Fails and Madison, Mason, and Mahayla Tucker. Brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Jeri Spangler, brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Diane Spangler, and brother Jeff Spangler. Numerous nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
