Cristian Rolando Hernandez – dedicated husband and father – passed away at his home in
Texas on Friday, August 30, 2024.
Good Lord, You have brought Cristian home with you. He was my husband and my daughters'
father. You have called him to everlasting rest with you. We believe and trust that Cris is with
you now; free, strong, and at peace.
Cristian was born on March 8, 1976, in Los Angeles, California. He was the eldest of three
children. He graduated from Sylmar High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the
United States Marine Corp. "Oohrah". He was a Combat Engineered and was honored with
the National Defense Service Medal. He proudly served our country for 8 years. He is a
veteran of 2 wars. Cristain carried a strong bond with his Marine brothers until the
end "Semper Fi."
Cristian and I, Monica met in December 2005. We were married shortly after and were
blessed with 3 beautiful daughters. My Gordo was my best friend and my soul mate.
Cristian's number one priority was spending time with his family, and he loved us very much.
He played "Call of Duty" in his spare time with his daughters. He loved to cook his favorite
childhood meals for his daughters. His favorite team was the Los Angeles Dodgers. His spirit
animal was a dragon. His favorite movie was The Godfather. His favorite food was his mother-
in-law's jaiva and he could make a killer Michelada. He was currently working at Michael
Foods as a Sanitation Manager where he enjoyed making a difference for the company and
the people who worked with him.
Cristian is survived by I, Monica, his wife; and his daughters: Marissa, Madelynne, and
Melanie; and all the family and friends that loved him very much.
"Who are we? - We are the Hernandez Family, a lean, mean, fighting machine!"
Lord, grant us peace and understanding. Let your love and our family's love comfort our
hearts.
The gates of heaven are open for you Cris, may the saints and angels guide you in, and our
good Lord hold you in his arms.
You will be forever in our hearts and missed today and always.
