Carole Ann Washburn was born on August 22, 1942 in Memphis, Tennessee to John Thomas Chiles & Ella Maude Chiles (Collins) and passed away on her 81st birthday, August 22, 2023.

Carole was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Grady Lee Washburn; and her parents, John Thomas and Ella Maude Chiles.  She is survived by her sister Carlene Peterson, brother in law Eric Peterson, and nephew Jeffery.  She is also survived by son Jason Brian Washburn and wife Misty; four grandkids, Martha Lee, Claudia Christine, Jason Brian Jr, and Daralynn Rhea.

Carole with an 'E', as she always introduced herself, was a devoted wife, proud Army mom, adoring Grammi, and the mom, Grammi or friend who was always there for you when you needed her.  Throughout her life she always relied on her faith in God.  She and her smile will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
