McMahan, Carol Ann (formally Truelove, nee Seymour) age 78, of McKinney, TX, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2026 in her home with her family present.

Born on August 3, 1956 in Ordway, CO, Carol was a member of First

United Methodist Church of McKinney, TX, having attended Richland College in Dallas, TX studying Horticulture, she spent 19 years plying her craft as a Floral Designer, then transitioned to Medical Transcription work until her retirement.

Carol was first married to Robert Lynn Truelove for 32 years, raising 2 children. She encouraged the to listen to their hearts, follow their passions and shering her faith in God with them. She also shared her love of gardening , cooking, and her skill of sweing, as well as her love of reading with them.

Carol remarried in 2008 to James McMahan and, while continuing to care for her first family, embraced her new one, She also continued to use her floral design skills to provide flower arrangements for the church sanctuary for a number of years.

Carol possessed a strong love of family, and is survived by her children, Molly Truelove of Plano, TX, Robert Truelove and wife Jenni of Lake City, FL; her grand children, Ashley Jordan Brewer of Oklahoma City, OK, and Bryce Michael Brewer of Plano TX, Victoria M Hollingsworth of Bonne Terre, MO; her great-grandchildren Avah S,R. Davis and Alaina J Hollingsworth of Bonne Terre, MO; her siblings Marie M Mooney and husband Gerry Mooney of Denver, CO, Carl Seymour of Las Vegas, NV, Roger Seymour of Colorado Springs, CO, Rick Seymour and wife Debbie of Columbia City, IN , and brother-in-law Kevin M. Truelove of Winona Lake, IN; she is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, as well as other family and friends.

Carol was preceded in death by her father, Fred Floyd Seymour August 20, 1996, her mother, Mary Irene Seymour(nee Morey) January 28, 2010, her sister, Lola Jean Aldridge(nee Seymour) March 31, 2022; her first husband, Robert Lynn Truelove June 13, 1998, and her Second husband, James McMahan November 2022.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. CST, Monday, June 29 at the First United Methodist Church of Mckinney (315 N. Church St. McKinney, TX 75069) Reverend Tom Brumett officiating. A live-stream of the service will be available on the church website for those unable to attend.
