Carl Wayne West, age 69, passed from this life on Sunday, December 10, 2023.

Carl was born in Wylie, TX to Roy and Vida Mae West on December 30, 1953. He is survived by his brother Gary West, his daughter Carla and her husband Kris of Garland, his son Jimmy West and his wife Kim of Yantis, His Grandkids Mason, Briley, Layne, JeAnne, Alex, and Shyrah, and by 2 great grandkids Emeryson and Beaux and a host of nieces and nephews and cousins. Carl was preceded in death by his loving wife, Debi Land West, his parents, brother James, and brother Larry.

Carl married his love Debra Jean Land on January 4, 1972. They lived in Garland, then moved to Casper, WY for 5 years where he worked in the oil field, They moved back to Texas, settling in Rowlett in 1979. Carl worked in Maintenance and Building Engineering until he retired in 2016. They retired at their lake property in Yantis, TX. He was an avid bass fisherman and outdoorsmen throughout his life.

The visitation will be held on Thursday, December 14th from 5:00-8:00pm. There will be an abbreviated service on Friday December 15th at 10:30am before the burial at Pleasant Valley cemetery Sachse.

Services under the direction of Williams Funeral Home in Garland.

In lieu of flowers, Carl would appreciate donations to the Scottish Rite Hospital in memorial.
