Obituary

Carl Edward Hargrove
January 27, 1962 – May 29, 2026

Carl Edward Hargrove, age 64, passed away on May 29, 2026, surrounded by the love of family and leaving behind a legacy of memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Born on January 27, 1962, Carl was the son of the late Clevie "Pete" Hargrove and Odie Charlene Cobb Hargrove. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Cleve Walker "Drifty" Hargrove.

Carl was a man who valued family, friendship, and freedom. He was an avid Harley rider who loved being on the open road. Riding wasn't just a hobby it was where he felt most alive. Whether he was taking a long ride with the wind at his back or sharing stories about his adventures, motorcycles were a part of who he was. Those who knew him will remember his independent spirit, his stories, his sense of humor, and the way he could make an ordinary conversation unforgettable.

Carl is survived by his wife, Kelly Hargrove; his sisters, Cheryl Hargrove and Jeanette Wright; his sons, Trent Hargrove; Brent Hargrove and spouse Tiffany Hargrove; his daughter, Karla Chapman and spouse James Chapman.
He also leaves behind the grandchildren who brought him great pride and joy: Addison Hargrove, Logan Chapman, Tobiie Chapman, and Ava Chapman, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
Carl's greatest legacy is the family he loved and the memories he created with them. His presence could fill a room, his stories could keep everyone listening, and his love for those closest to him was unwavering.
Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we are grateful for every ride, every story, every laugh, and every moment shared. Carl's journey on this earth has ended, but his spirit will continue to ride on in the hearts of those who loved him.
May he rest in peace, forever loved, forever remembered, and forever missed.
