Born in Ranger, Texas on October 19, 1931, Bill passed away on November 28, 2025 in Richardson, Texas.
He graduated from Athens High School, attended Trinity Valley College, and served in the US Army during the Korean War. After his service, he married the love of his life, Martha Sue Swanner. He went on to become the plant manager of Check Savers of Garland for 35 years. He was an active member of Richardson First Baptist Church, loved the outdoors, and was an avid golfer. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Pearl; his son, Robert; his beloved wife, Martha; and his sisters, Clara and Mary. He is survived by his children, Elizabeth, Joe, Matt, Mark and their families.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 14th, from 3-5pm at Williams Funeral Home in Garland. A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church of Richardson on Tuesday, December 16th, at 10am. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to First Baptist Church of Richardson's Missions Fund.
