Betsy Sue
Rogers
Mar 4, 1941 — Mar 28, 2025
Dallas
"Betsy Rogers (born Armstrong) passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 84 years old. She was born to Frank and Marian Armstrong along with her twin Becky in 1941 in Plano, TX, where she attended Plano High before graduating from Baylor University in 1963. At Baylor, she became a lifelong fan for the University's many sports, including football, the sport her husband, Ronnie Rogers, played. The two married and moved to Garland, TX, where Betsy began teaching at Parkcrest Elementary. She had two children, whom she also sent to Baylor, and learned their love for it from her. She had an affection for reading, as seen in the thoroughly annotated pages of her many books. Many of these centered around Betsy's Christian faith, which remained a directing force throughout her life. Betsy was an avid player of tennis and golf, and she instilled a love for activity in her children, as well. She was also a dedicated outdoorswoman who spent much of her time in the mountains of Crested Butte, CO, and at her ranch in Meridian, TX. At both, she was accompanied by fellow adventurers—one of her many loyal dogs, friends, or otherwise. Those who knew her remember a woman of good taste, quick wit, and a life that reflected a full joy for it.
Betsy is survived by her daughter, Casey, her husband Terence and their children Lexy and Luke as well as her son, Zack and his wife Kristina, and many other loving family members and friends who knew well her fiery spirit, adventurous mind, and joyous heart.
