Ben Travis Rowland, age 91 of Garland, Texas, was born March 16, 1932 in El Dorado, Oklahoma to Denny and Bernice Hudson Rowland; and passed away February 18, 2023 in Garland, TX. He was a devoted member of his church, a regular donor to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, and a United States Postal Service Mail Carrier for 42 years; where he was the first One Million Mile Driver without accident.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jacquelyn L. Rowland of Garland, Texas; sons, Denny Rowland of Addison, Texas, Russell L. Hunter and wife, Jody of Garland, Texas, Ross L. Hunter and wife, Rhona of Rowlett, Texas; daughter, Rachel Shine and husband, Danny of Canton, Georgia; grandchildren, Crystal Nelson of Josephine, Texas, Sundee Hunter of Garland, Texas, Caylan Bryant and husband, Steven of Rowlett, Texas, Camryn Crisp and husband, Sean of Tyler, Texas, Carson Hunter of Rowlett, Texas, Rebecca Rowland Harlan of Dallas, Texas, Christopher Rowland of Lewisville, Texas; great-grandchildren, Ella Blue Hunter of Garland, Texas, Daxton Reese of Josephine, Texas, Kyla Sloan of Josephine, Texas; brother-in-law, James O. Wood; niece, Amy; and nephew, David. He is preceded in death by his brother, James Rowland; and daughter, Donna Henry.

Memorial Services for Ben will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 3, 2023 in Williams Memorial Chapel with George Butler officiating.
