Avery Lee Mewbourn was born November 19, 1943 in Sulphur Springs, TX to Avery Odell Mewbourn & Cordia Lee Sherrin Mewbourn and passed away October 21, 2022 in Tyler, TX. He is survived by his children: Vicki Shepard & husband Shane, Tammy Burwell, Shelly Jumper & husband A.J., Don Mewbourn & wife Claudia; grandchildren: Tim Jumper & wife Rachel, Jessica Salgado & husband Joshua, Nick Burwell, Sarah Hill & husband Blake, Sabra Lewis & husband Joe, Tori Gowaty & husband Aaron; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Smith & Deborah Noe. Avery was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Mewbourn; parents; siblings: Allen Mewbourn, Alton Mewbourn and Carolyn Thomas. Funeral service will be 3:00 PM Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Williams Memorial Chapel with a visitation one hour prior.
