Arjelia was predeceased by siblings Emma Peña, Elvira Niavez, JR Peña, Natividad Peña, Carolina Garcia, Andy Peña, Fred Peña, and Charlie Peña.

Arjelia's legacy continues through her children: daughters Lila Garrett and Felicia Garrett (spouse Oscar Chavez), and sons Jimmy Earl Garrett (spouse Maria Rodriguez) and Jammy Ray Garrett.
