It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Anita Gomez Reyes, who departed this life on April 1, 2026, at the age of 95.

Anita was born in Dallas, Texas, and spent much of her life in Garland, Texas, where she built a loving home and a strong family legacy. She lived a long and meaningful life centered around her family, whom she cherished deeply.

She was preceded in death by her beloved Husband, Guadalupe Reyes, her Son Jessie Garza and her Grandson Jimmy Garza.

Anita is survived by her sons, Pete Garza, Robert Garza, Lawrence Garza, Augustin Reyes, and Anthony Reyes; her daughters-in-law, Melinda Garza, Cindy Garza, and Sandra Garza; her grandchildren, Jason Garza, Chad Garza, Adele Dickenson,  Jennifer Garza, Alice Garza, Abby Garza, Celeste Reyes, and Cristy Reyes; and her great-grandchildren, Nicolas Mora, Alex Mora, Vanessa Mora, Juniper Garza, and Zeke Garza.

Anita will be remembered for her strength, love, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her life was a testament to the importance of family, faith, resilience, and kindness. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue through generations.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home, 1600 S. Garland Ave., Garland, TX 75040.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
