Ana Maria Gamboa, lovingly known as Mariana or Maria, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2026, in Garland, Texas, surrounded by the love she spent a lifetime giving. She was 72 years old.

Born on July 26, 1953, in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico, Ana carried with her the warmth and spirit of her homeland throughout her life. She was a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and faithful woman whose quiet strength touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Ana found her greatest joy in family. Whether gathered around a game of lotería or simply together in the same room, she had a gift for making ordinary moments feel like celebrations. Her faith was the foundation of everything she did, and her devotion to God and to her church reflected the woman she was at her core. In her peaceful moments she found comfort in familiar television shows, content in the simple pleasure of being home.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rodolfo Gamboa, and her son, Jose Rodolfo Gamboa, who surely welcomed her home.

Ana is survived by her four devoted daughters: Elizabeth Garza and her husband Manuel, Diana Villagomez and her husband Jorge, Ana Rodriguez and her husband Jairo, and Mariana Gamboa — who fought for her with a love that never wavered. Her legacy lives on through her nine grandchildren and a family that will carry her warmth forward.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life at a viewing on Monday, June 8, followed by a service on Tuesday, June 9. She will be laid to rest following the service.

Ana Maria Gamboa lived simply, loved deeply, and left no doubt about what mattered most to her. May she rest in the eternal peace she so deserves.
