Obituary

Allen David Van Valkenburg left us to be with our Heavenly Father on June 17th, 2025. He was born on January 9th 1968 to David and Alicia Van Valkenburg in Jacksonville, Florida. Allen was the light and life of the party known for his outgoing, energetic, and animated personality. Allen and his brother, Greg, grew up in Apopka, Florida. After attending Paris Junior College in Paris, Texas on a golf scholarship, Allen moved to Dallas Texas to start a career in stone and granite sales. His true love in life, however, was playing golf. Allen used his love of golf as a way to give back through raising funds for several charitable causes through golf tournaments and community events. He also dazzled us through his trick shot shows as a way to support junior golfers. Allen's love for college football was exemplified by his passion for watching and cheering for the Georgia Bulldogs.

Allen leaves behind his father, H. David, step mother Dianne Van Valkenburg, brothers, Gregory Van Valkenburg and Christopher Van Valkenburg, sisters, Amanda Jones and husband Abel, Emily Muil and husband Duncan, aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family that spans from California, Washington, the Carolinas, Florida, and New Hampshire; all who will forever cherish his memory.

Allen's life will be celebrated in a private gathering with family only at this time. A celebration of his life is planned for a future date, in both Dallas and Florida.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to honor Allen's memory by doing something kind for someone else, hitting the golf course on a sunny day, or by giving a gift in his honor to St. Judes.

Allen lived with heart, humor, and a deep love for the people and passions that meant the most to him. He will be missed by the many who's lives he has touched.

Allen, now at peace, is walking Heaven's fairways with his beloved mother, Alicia, and doing trick shots for our Heavenly Father.
