With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Albert Kenneth Gilleo Jr., lovingly known as "Pop-Pop," on March 25, 2025, in Richardson, Texas. Born on July 23, 1941, in Peekskill, New York, Albert lived a life of unwavering love, dedication, and service.

Albert was a proud and decorated veteran of the United States Air Force, serving his country with honor through two deployments to Vietnam. His bravery and sacrifices were recognized with a Bronze Star and numerous other commendations. Beyond his military service, Albert was a man of deep integrity, a proud member of the Masonic Lodge, and an active part of the Hella Shrine.

More than anything, Albert cherished his family. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a proud grandfather, and an adoring great-grandfather. He found joy in the simple things—working on his classic cars, spending peaceful moments with his horses, and sharing endless stories that captivated those around him. But his greatest love was always his beloved wife, Jane. Dancing with her was one of his greatest joys, and together, they created a love story that spanned more than 52 years.

Albert leaves behind his wife and best friend, Jane Gilleo, who stood by his side in love and devotion and his brother Clark and wife Susan. He will be forever missed by his children: Donna Lenard (husband Michael), Diane McCool, Lisa McCool, Maryjane Hromyak (husband Randy), and Christopher Gilleo (wife Amy). His legacy lives on through his grandchildren: Carl Greeno, Christina Greeno, Christopher Greeno, Brittany Harris, Crystal Bowen, Jessica Martinez, Kaitlin McCool, Hadalynn McCool, Kylie Lewis, Jacob Hromyak, Ignacio Alvarez, Andres Gilleo, and Emma Gilleo, as well as 13 precious great-grandchildren.

Albert was welcomed into heaven by his parents, his beloved daughter, Lynn McCool, and his grandson, Justin Scott Graff. Though our hearts are broken, we find peace in knowing he is reunited with those he loved and missed.

Albert was a man of strength, kindness, and unwavering love. He taught his children the value of hard work, the importance of honesty, and the power of a strong moral compass. His presence was a source of comfort, his laughter was infectious, and his love was a guiding light for all who knew him.

A celebration of his life will take place at 1:00 PM on Monday, April 7, 2025, at Williams Memorial Chapel. Albert will be laid to rest with full military honors at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at 10:15 AM on Tuesday, April 8, 2025.
