Pat Herring was born January 3, 1924 in Rome Mountain, TN to C. E. Herring & Lillian May Looper and passed away June 6, 2016 in Garland, TX. Pat retired from the United States Navy after 20 years of service in World War II, The Korean War and The Vietnam War. He is survived by his daughter, Monica Doherty & husband Stephen; son, Richard Herring & wife Joycelyn; grandchildren, Shelbey Herring and Kori Herring; grandchildren-in-law: Daniel Doherty, Sutton Daniels and Betheny Daniels. Pat was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Virginia Herring; siblings, Richard Herring and Patsy Crutcher. Visitation will be 4pm-7pm Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Williams Funeral Directors. Funeral service will be 10:30am Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Williams Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow the funeral at DFW National Cemetery.
